Looking for Cell Phone Protection and a 0% Intro APR for both purchases and balance transfers? Take a look at the U.S. Bank Visa Platinum!
It’s 2017 and a lot more credit cards are adding a Cell Phone Protection insurance to their credit card. That being said, they all seem to max out at $600 per claim and have a deductible between $25-$100.
The Visa Platinum by U.S. Bank is no different, they have a standard Cell Phone Protection insurance that covers theft and damage. But, are there any other redeeming qualities of this credit card? Let’s take a look at the benefits:
- Free TransUnion Credit Score (Vantage Score)
- Choose Your Payment Due Date
- Apple pay, Samsung pay, and Android pay is supported
Introductory offer: With Platinum, you get a special 0% introductory APR* on purchases and balance transfers for 18 billing cycles and thereafter, a variable APR, currently 10.99% – 22.99%.
Is this card worth it?: Kind of… In terms of 0% APR, this is one of the best credit cards out there. More specifically, the card rivals the Citi Simplicity, which has 21 months of 0% APR and a lot better benefits. The only benefit the Citi Simplicity lacks is Cell Phone Protection. So, all in all this card is okay, but the lack of cashback is unfortunate. That being said, if you really need the Cell Phone Protection and/or 0% APR, this is a good card assuming you can’t get Uber Credit Card or Citi Simplicity respectively.
